Alum Beach Hut is a relaxed restaurant, bar and coffee house, adding a new spot for Westbourne locals to eat, drink and meet with friends. Alum Chine is a magnet for those from further afield who enjoy lounging about on our beaches. Once we’ve really settled into our new home we’re going to add events such as music, quiz nights, wine dinners, guest chef takeovers. After this summer we’re already booking in private hire events … imagine having the whole place to yourselves!

Alum Beach Hut is our homage to The Alum Beach Café that was once on this site … but it’s way more than just a café! We've created a relaxed, colourful and informal space where you can choose a proper dining table, a comfy chair or sofa, or a barstool from which to watch the world go by.  

The food will be a mix of seafood, grilled meats, delicious comfort dishes, salads, children’s meals, the ever-popular pizzas, plus treats for your dogs. All accompanied by an extended list of beers, damn fine wines, cocktails, and excellent soft and non-alcoholic drinks.
